Raw materials
The table below shows the generic AAC recipe formula. The final formula depends on the quality characteristics of the local raw materials to be used, desired product density and economical optimization.
The below calculations assume that raw material quality complies with the provided raw material specifications.
Raw material |
min.-max. % from weight |
per m3 product, with product density 500kg/m3 |
Sand (or Fly ash) |
55-70 % |
296 kg |
Cement |
13-25% |
117 kg |
Lime |
9-12% |
56 kg |
Gypsum/Anhydrite |
3-5% |
16 kg |
Aluminium |
0,05 -0,15% |
0,27kg |
Total solids |
|
484 kg |
Water in mix (excl. steam water) |
|
230 kg |
Other consumption values per 1 m3 product
The following figures can be used as in indication of plant average utilities consumption per 1 m3 of final AAC.
However, final consumptions depends on local factors, machinery scope and raw material quality.
|
Value |
Note |
Electricity |
16-20kWh |
Depends on machinery configuration type of products and capacity |
Water for steam (without steam transfer) |
160-180 kg |
No steam transfer between autoclaves |
Water for steam (with steam transfer) |
120-140 kg |
Steam transfer between autoclaves |
Total water (steam + recipe) |
440-510 kg |
|
Gas * (natural) |
9-12 m3 |
Reduced consumption by heat re-using system |
* Instead of natural gas also other energy sources can be used for steam production i.e. LNG, diesel, coal.
Consumption depends on heating value of used source accordingly.
